On 29 April, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Mantas Adomėnas took part in an informal video conference of Foreign Affairs Ministers (Development). The meeting focused on the Future European Financial Architecture for Development, actions and measures to be taken for the improvement of the institutional framework.

On 25 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis is departing for the South Caucasus. This will be the Foreign Minister's first official visit to Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan, where he will meet with top officials and representatives of civil society to discuss possibilities for further development of Lithuania’s relations with the South Caucasian states, their prospects of cooperation with the European Union, and will express support for reform processes in the countries of the region.

On 20 April, at a meeting of the United Nations Economic and Social Council in New York, Lithuania was elected as a member of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) for the quadrennial period 2022–2025. In a group of Eastern European countries, four countries – Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia and Russia – were candidates for the 3 vacant seats. Slovenia and Russia were also elected to the CND.

On 20 April, at the 65th session of the Executive Council of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the OPCW, Ambassador Vidmantas Purlys was elected Vice-Chair of the Executive Council of the OPCW to serve in that office for a period of one year.

On 20 April, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Arnoldas Pranckevičius took part in an informal video conference of European Affairs Ministers, which took stock of the COVID-19 EU coordination, assessed the state of play of EU-UK relations, discussed the rule-of-law developments in the EU, the upcoming Conference on the Future of Europe, as well as the Enlargement and the Stabilisation and Association process.

On 16 April, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Lithuania Alexey Isakov was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was informed about Lithuania’s disapproval of Russia’s current foreign policy and human rights violations by Russia.

On 15 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis, together with his Latvian and Estonian counterparts - Edgars Rinkēvičs and  Eva-Maria Liimets - met with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Vitaliyivna Stefanishyna, the Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, and the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Andrii Taran.

On 15 April,  the Lithuanian and Turkish Ministries of Foreign Affairs held online political consultations to discuss bilateral and international issues, cooperation within NATO and the European Union. The Lithuanian delegation was led by the Foreign Vice-Minister Arnoldas Pranckevičius, while the Turkish delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Faruk Kaymakcı.
